PESHAWAR:
Amir Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq has said that it is the responsibility of the government and law enforcement agencies to protect the lives of the general public, voicing his concern over the worsening law and order situation in the country.
Talking to the victims of the Hangu blast at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar, he said that K-P and Balochistan were experiencing a fresh wave of terrorism while in Punjab and Sindh bandits were making lives difficult for the general public.
He said that the previous governments were responsible for the economic crisis as well as the law and order situation, adding that PTI, PPP and PML-N ruled the country for several decades and failed to bring any positive change.
He urged the voters to try Jamat-e-Islami this time in order to put the country on the path to prosperity.
“General public tested these parties in the past and they failed to deliver. I urge them not to be fooled by their attractive slogans once again,” he said.
I am sure that the voters would do the best accountability of those people who looted this country for seven decades.
Siraj condemned the suicide attacks in a mosque in Hangu and Mastung Balochistan and said those responsible should be brought to justice and made an example for others.
He demanded of the government to immediately release compensation packages for the victims of both the blasts.
“It is the constitutional responsibility of the government to protect the lives and property of the general public in this country. It is the duty of the caretaker governments to improve the law and order situation before the forthcoming general elections,” he maintained, adding that people should go out and vote without any fear and as the new elected government could bring the country out of its current troubles.
